Baku– Azeri President Ilham Aliyev said on Monday that his upcoming visit to Iran aims to bolster relations between the two neighboring states.

 

IFIF Public Relations- On the eve of his visit to Iran, he expressed the hope that the visit would help broaden affinities between the two nations more than before.

The visit of the Azeri president is to take place upon official invitation extended to him by President Hassan Rouhani.

 

Referring to the previous meetings with President Hassan Rouhani, he said that he held negotiations with the Iranian president and signed various agreements on political, economic and cultural areas.

 

In Tehran, the two sides will review regional and global developments and will sign various memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on mutual interests, he said.

 

The prospects of economic cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan are very promising, underlined the Azeri president.

 

The two sides should help remove existing hurdles to enhance level of the current trade exchange between the two countries, he said.

 

Azerbaijan government is currently involved in carrying out economic reforms to boost domestic and foreign trade, he said.

 

The Azeri president said that Iran-Azerbaijan joint economic commission has offered new economic package to augment trade and economic cooperation. /s
